Prof. Maddox obtained his Master of Law (LL.M.) in Business Law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He also holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Maine School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)from Marlboro College.
Before joining JGLS, Prof. Maddox was an International Trade Specialist with the International Trade Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce. As a U.S. Civil Servant, Prof. Maddox functioned as the Chief of Staff for the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. Prior to joining the Department of Commerce, Prof. Maddox acted as an Advisor to the U.S. – India Business Council at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He is an Attorney at Law and is admitted to the Bar in Washington, D.C.
Prof. Maddox’s areas of specialization include competition law, corporate law, securities law, and international trade law.
